Australian Tango Championships & Gala Performance from Tangueros

Mi Serenata will once again hosts Perth’s only official Qualifying Round of the Australian Tango Dance Championships in conjunction with the organiser of the Sydney Salon Tango Festival, plus spectacular performances from our official judges for the competition Jairo Sanchez Rivera and Amy Teuchert, Tangueros. Jairo and Amy will also be conducting their highly successful workshops over that weekend and we will post details of the workshops as soon as the scehdule is completed.

This is an opportunity for tango dancers in all stages of their tango journey to celebrate the intimate ‘Tango of Embrace.’

The Finals will be held in Sydney over the Easter long weekend (18 April - 20 April 2014)

We welcome Perth tangueros and tangueras to qualify at our Milonga on 22nd March for both categories:

1) Under 18 months of learning and

2) Open Category

Last year our two qualifying couples went onto Sydney and qualified in the semi- final and final rounds of the competition.

As we did last year, Mi Serenata Tango teachers Raffa and Sabrina will hold special workshops for anyone interested in participating. Please let us know so we can make arrangements in advance to help you in your journey….
