The Chimera ensemble is named after the mythical fire-breathing Chimera, a creature made up of the parts of three animals, traditionally the lion, the goat and the serpent.

Chimera Ensemble will be performing Haydn’s Gypsy Rondo; Dvorak’s Dumky Trio and Piazzolla’s Season Tangos.

Considered the world’s foremost composer of the Tango, Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla’s music is filled with exciting vibrant rhythms and rich luscious harmonies, all blended with the fiery, passionate tango. Because he wrote music for listening and not just dancing to, and fused jazz and classical musical elements, his tangos became known as Tango Nuevo, or New Tango.

Tickets are only $15 each and are available at the door. If you’d like any further information, or would like to RSVP, please call Tommaso on 0407704450 or email tommasopollio@me.com.
