Recap Mi Serenata Tango - Festive Soirée Milonga

What a beautiful night of celebration it was with our friends and many of our tangueros and tangueras from the Perth Tango Community - a christmas milonga as well as a celebration of a very busy, successful and productive year for all of us at Mi Serenata. It is moments like these when we take time to reflect on the year.

We are filled with gratitude for all the opportunities, support and lovely people we have met in our journey this year – near and far.

Our interstate guests & teachers -David Backler and Dianne Heywood –Smith from Sidewalk Tango in Melbourne who entertained and delighted us at the Spiegeltent; Jairo Sanchez Rivera and Amy Teuchert from Tangueros in Sydney who brought their knowledge and experience to our students and awed us with their performances at our milongas; and our international guest, Joaquin Amenabar, who greatly inspired us with his unique musicality, teaching and playing of the bandoneon; each of our guests took us wholeheartedly along our tango journey and each giving us something unique of themselves.

Our many visitors who graced our milongas over the year has been an equal privilege for us, and in particular Veronica from Beijing, China who won our hearts with her presence culminating in our very first sister Milonga in Beijing. We hope to see all our guests and visitors on our shores again and soon.

The incredible people we meet at our classes and events reminds us again and again that it is a privilege to be working alongside our colleagues and friends and to be part of the greater tango community…
